KUALA LUMPUR, 14th – Chinese male star Zhang Zhehan returned to Malaysia after five months for a fan meeting. He boasted about his improved singing skills and encouraged fans to be bold and try new things, and to courageously break through their own limits. However, he admitted that when he feels restless, he inevitably tends to compare himself with others. “I’m still learning (to avoid this), trying not to compare myself with others.”

Zhang Zhehan’s “Chase” fan meeting was held last night at Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur. He confessed that this Kuala Lumpur stop was not initially planned but was added especially for Malaysian fans. Pampering his fans, he brought over three hours of performances and game segments, showing great sincerity. He even selected fans to come on stage by playing darts and challenged himself to hit four targets in a row, which elicited exclamations from the fans.

In the “Guess What This Is” segment, photos of Zhang Zhehan from different periods were shown, but only specific parts of the photos, such as his abs, concert behind-the-scenes shots, or photo shoot images. Fans could easily guess when and where the photos were taken just from these small parts, surprising even Zhang Zhehan himself and proving their deep knowledge and fandom.

Zhang Zhehan opened the show appearing as a handsome “Prince Charming” with long hair intricately styled with blue braids to match the blue glow sticks in the audience.

First Performance of New Song “Unchained”.

This time, Zhang Zhehan specially brought the new songs “Unchained” and “Can You Hear Me” to Malaysia. He revealed that it took two days to record “Unchained,” which was very challenging. He had even worried during the rehearsal in Malaysia, thinking, “What if I can’t sing it well?” But to his delight, everything went smoothly, and he proudly declared, “So you must boldly try and break through yourself. I did it!” He boasted about his improved singing skills, saying, “I am not the most talented, so I practice with my guitar every day, and it has become a habit.”

Zhang Zhehan brought two new songs, “Unchained” and “Can You Hear Me,” both of which are breakthroughs from his previous style. Fans exclaimed, “So cool!” after listening to the live performances.

He mentioned that whenever he feels restless and starts comparing himself to others, he re-watches his first documentary, “August,” to encourage himself to “be a better self and not compare with others.” However, he admitted that he is still learning to avoid comparisons.

At the end of the fan meeting, Zhang Zhehan and fans engaged in a water gun fight, turning the stage into a swimming pool. He revealed that he would be holding fan meetings in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, and announced the “Primordial Theater 2.0” concert tour in Seoul, Korea, on November 16, exciting fans who vowed to attend.

Zhang Zhehan interacted with fans using water guns and bubble guns, jokingly calling it the “revenge segment.” After the fan meeting ended, he immediately said, “So hungry! Time for a late-night snack.”
