[VideoLand News Network] Zhang Zhehan, who gained fame for his role in the historical drama “Word of Honor” also performed the drama’s insert song “Lonely Dream” and ending song “Faraway Wanderer.” Recently, he released a new English single titled “Going Off,” with the Chinese title being “了.” Zhang Zhehan explained, “‘了’ pronounced as ‘liǎo’ signifies an end or conclusion, symbolizing the end of a story or relationship, leading us to actively let go of the past and bravely move into a new chapter. When pronounced as ‘le,’ it often serves as a modal particle, similar to ‘um,’ suggesting a passive acceptance of something or a result, thus implying a reluctant farewell to the past. This song acts as an open-ended theme, guiding listeners into an emotionally resonant world, inviting each listener to find their own story and feelings within it.”

He also shared that he chose the song immediately upon hearing its demo. Although this is not his first English song, Zhang Zhehan worked diligently to master the pronunciation and emotional expression of the lyrics, studying and practicing with a guitar during his spare time to ensure he could fully immerse himself in the song’s emotions.

In addition to continuously releasing music, Zhang Zhehan recently concluded two successful performances in Australia. During his trip, he performed in Melbourne and Sydney, where his effortless singing and interactions with the audience created a high-energy atmosphere. To align with the themes of “Before Graduation” and “After Graduation,” he shared stories from his childhood, education, art exams, and career, delighting fans with anecdotes and humorous moments. His vivid storytelling brought continuous laughter. In the final segment of the show, he appeared in a collegiate-style outfit, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that transported the audience back to their school days. Zhang Zhehan is also set to hold his first solo concert in South Korea this November.
