Zhang Zhehan visits Malaysia and praises fans for having “great taste”; appears in a veil look as fans shout, “Marry me!”

Following a fan meeting held in Hong Kong in May last year, Zhang Zhehan reunited with fans again after a year—this time in Malaysia—drawing a large crowd of “Haizhe” (his fans) to show their support.

During the interaction segment, a fan shouted, “I’ve loved you for 11 years!” He jokingly replied, “You’re lying,” before smiling and praising the crowd, saying, “You all have great taste,” instantly heating up the atmosphere. He also revealed that his new drama will be premiering soon and made a birthday wish during the fan meeting, hoping his work will be loved by even more audiences.

After a year, Zhang Zhehan once again held a fan meeting, this time choosing Malaysia as the place to reunite with fans. The venue was fully packed, with an energetic atmosphere and frequent cheers from the crowd.

On stage, he mentioned that this year’s fan meeting theme was “Kaleidoscope,” and special mirror installations were set up at the venue. He explained that a mirror is not only a way to look inward and reflect on oneself, but also a way to understand the world outwardly—different angles reveal different versions of oneself and the world.

Perhaps because it had been so long since he last met “Haizhe” (his fans) in person, Zhang Zhehan couldn’t stop once he got into chatting mode. The atmosphere at the venue was relaxed and filled with laughter.

He shared that he has been busy with his entertainment work during this period. Although he hasn’t been able to meet fans often in person, he still connects with them through livestreams. He also joked that after facing the camera for too long, he sometimes gets sleepy, drawing a wave of laughter from the audience.

Talking about his recent situation, Zhang Zhehan revealed that besides attending classes and playing sports, he has also been filming on set. He also spoke about how filming now is different from before—previously, he only needed to focus on his role and the script, but now he takes on multiple roles at once, including director, screenwriter, and producer, which at one point made him question whether he could truly see it through.

He said, “When one person takes on too many responsibilities, it can feel exhausting, and you may start to doubt yourself. But now, as I begin working on my second project, more people are joining to help, which is also a form of learning from another perspective. It’s really not easy to create a work you truly like, but since I’ve already taken the first step, I hope things will gradually get better.”

Zhang Zhehan also expressed hope that his new work will receive greater attention after its release and that everything will progress smoothly.

To give back for fans’ support, Zhang Zhehan delivered multiple songs with full sincerity, even though exceeding the performance time could have resulted in a fine. In addition to frequent interactions, he also surprised fans by releasing a preview of his new song “Jie Wo” (All Me), which received an enthusiastic response. He further revealed that his new drama will premiere in two months, heightening fans’ anticipation.

Revealing precious photos

In addition, Zhang Zhehan shared four previously unreleased personal photos, including one with his mother. He said it was the first time they had ever done makeup and taken photos together, making it especially meaningful and a cherished memory for him. For this segment, he even went back through his past WeChat Moments to dig out the very first photo he had posted.

The most explosive moment of the entire event was undoubtedly “Datura.”

Zhang Zhehan appeared on stage wearing a veil, and the moment he showed up, the venue erupted with screams. Some fans even shouted “Marry me!” on the spot, with wave after wave of cheers pushing the atmosphere to its peak. He then led the whole crowd to “get hyped,” and the entire song was performed amid nonstop screaming.

After the performance, however, he immediately switched to a humorous tone, joking, “The ‘high’ part of our fan meeting is very short—after ‘Datura,’ it’s time to head out.” At one point, fans surged toward the front of the stage, and he reminded everyone to stay safe and return to their seats slowly.

At the fan meeting, Zhang Zhehan also took time to read letters from fans and presented a handwritten letter in return. He shared that he had spent many days thinking about it, believing that he and his fans share an equal relationship and grow together, and that the day was a moment to share together.

As May 11 is his birthday, fans specially prepared a video and a cake to celebrate in advance. While making his wish, he once again mentioned that his new drama will be released soon, hoping everyone will like it and that everything will go smoothly moving forward: “My mind is full of the projects in the second half of the year—I hope we can all happily reunite.”
